bouquets and bouts
Let’s start with the bride’s bouquet—an absolute showstopper. Imagine lush white garden roses and creamy spray roses paired with delicate anemones, their striking black centers adding a bold, modern touch. Subtle hints of seasonal greenery like eucalyptus and cedar brought movement and texture, while soft touches of pine added a nod to the winter season. The bouquet was loosely styled for a garden-inspired look, perfect for that romantic-yet-natural vibe.
The groom’s boutonnière complemented the bouquet beautifully, featuring a single white rose accented with tiny sprigs of eucalyptus and pine. And let’s not forget the wedding party! The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet, each one a delicate balance of roses, ranunculus, and greenery. For the groomsmen, classic boutonnieres with touches of Carolina Sapphire brought a cohesive yet understated elegance.
fashion
This wedding wasn’t just about stunning florals; the fashion played a major role in setting the tone. The bride’s ethereal A-line gown was a vision of elegance, with its lace long-sleeved bodice, sweetheart neckline, and flowing satin skirt. Her cathedral-length veil, adorned with intricate lace detailing, added a timeless, romantic touch.
The groom looked equally dashing in a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie—a perfect match to the bride’s effortless sophistication. Together, their looks complemented the soft, elegant aesthetic of the wedding perfectly.
One thing to note about winter weddings? The season itself becomes part of your decor. For this celebration, the venue’s soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light during the day and framed the twinkling Christmas trees at night. Draped fabric and string lights softened the industrial-chic vibe of the space, creating a warm, inviting environment that felt like the holidays and romance rolled into one.
ceremony
Now onto the ceremony! The couple chose to exchange vows in front of a roaring fireplace, surrounded by the venue’s twinkling Christmas trees and festive gold and silver accents. To make the space feel even more magical, we designed a lush floral arrangement as a ground piece for the welcome area. Positioned in front of a mirror at the entrance, this arrangement featured layers of white blooms, soft greenery, and textural elements like waxflower and cedar—a warm, inviting nod to the celebration ahead.
For the fireplace backdrop, we kept it understated yet impactful. A mix of white roses, anemones, and eucalyptus framed the mantle, while clusters of candles added a romantic, glowing ambiance. It was the perfect setting for an intimate winter ceremony.
reception
Once the vows were exchanged and the rings were on, guests were welcomed into a reception space that was nothing short of magical. The tables were draped in soft ivory linens, complemented by neutral-toned napkins and gold accents. Each table featured a low, gold-footed compote vase overflowing with winter florals. Think white roses, ranunculus, and anemones paired with textured greenery like eucalyptus and Blue Berry Cedar.
Clustered candles in varying heights added warmth and dimension to the tablescape. The soft glow of candlelight, combined with the twinkle of string lights and the sparkle of Christmas trees, created a cozy, intimate atmosphere—exactly what you want for a winter wedding.
And we can’t forget the sweetheart table. Mirroring the overall reception design, it was adorned with delicate florals and glowing candles, making it the perfect spot for the couple to steal a few quiet moments together amidst the celebration.
Designing florals for a winter wedding is always such a treat, and this celebration was no exception. From the lush bouquets to the intimate reception decor, every detail was carefully crafted to reflect the couple’s timeless style and love for the season. With a palette of snowy whites, soft greens, and festive textures, we created a space that was equal parts romantic and cozy—the perfect setting for a winter wonderland wedding.
