K + R were married on a sunny August day at the Rock Ridge Country Club in Newtown, CT. The venue is a private golf club in Fairfield County that the family has belonged to for years. The couple eloped during the height of the pandemic and had to reschedule, but we were finally able to celebrate them both in person! Kate and Rob wanted bright and cheerful blossoms for their wedding, mixing creamy David Austin garden roses with hot pink locally sourced dahlias. We filled our lita compotes full of local foliage and grasses, mauve zinnia, and peach snapdragons to create centerpieces with an emphasis on seasonality. Her bouquet was a mix of cream and neutral blossoms accented with blush and pink blossoms and tied with a trailing champagne ribbon.
We also helped K + R with their final details as their wedding planner. They opted to hire us to get them through the final stretch - we came in about 8 weeks before their wedding to create the timeline for the day, coordinate with their vendors about their needs, and to oversee the floorplan from the venue to make sure everything was just right. We were there on their big day helping keep everything organized so they didn’t have to worry about anything!
