bouquets + bouts
The bride’s bouquet? Perfection. It was a soft, medium-sized mix of white roses, eucalyptus, white stock, and delphinium, with the prettiest majolica spray roses tucked in. It had that effortless, just-picked look, which always feels so much more romantic than those super-polished arrangements. The groom and his crew wore simple white spray rose boutonnieres that were low-key but super classy.
I love how all the flowers tied together throughout the day—everything felt connected without being too matchy. The reception carried the floral story forward with delicate bud vases scattered on tables, each filled with a few blue and white blooms. Sometimes less really is more.
Okay, let’s talk about the bride’s dress for a second. She looked like an absolute dream. It was a thin-strap A-line gown with the most delicate floral pattern running through the fabric—perfectly on theme with the whole garden vibe without being too matchy-matchy. She just floated through the day, looking effortlessly chic but still comfortable enough to enjoy every second.
Her bridesmaids, in their pale blue dresses with square necklines, were the perfect complement to her look. The soft blue fit seamlessly into the wedding’s color palette, and the overall vibe was relaxed elegance. I love when bridesmaids' dresses look flattering and cohesive but still feel wearable—like, these were dresses you’d actually want to wear again.
ceremony
The ceremony setup? Chef’s kiss. It was like stepping into a dreamy garden, with blue and white flowers absolutely everywhere. Think blue hydrangeas, white roses, delphinium, and tweedia mixed with textured eucalyptus and autumn olive foliage. The floral sprays on tall white columns were just... wow. Big, lush, and full of life without feeling too fussy. Two low, ground-level pieces framed the end of the aisle, giving the whole space a whimsical, garden-party vibe.
And let’s not forget the flowers on the railing above where the couple exchanged vows. Seriously, flowers everywhere. But not in an overwhelming way—just the right amount to make everything feel light, airy, and romantic.
Oh, and we tried to use as many locally sourced blooms as possible, which makes it even better. There’s just something about knowing the flowers were grown nearby that makes them feel fresher and more connected to the day.
One of my favorite parts of this wedding was how involved the bride’s mom was in planning everything. You could feel the love in every detail—from the flowers to the layout to the personal touches sprinkled throughout the day. It wasn’t just a beautiful wedding; it was a family celebration, full of those little moments that make the day unforgettable.
It’s one thing to plan a wedding, but it’s a whole other thing to create something that feels like home—and that’s exactly what they did.
dinner + dancing
Now, if you’ve never been to Millpond Gatherings, let me paint you a little picture: think rustic beams, warm wood textures, and an open layout that makes every part of the day flow seamlessly. It’s got this cozy yet elegant vibe that feels like a perfect blend of sophistication and warmth.
The whole wedding took place right there—ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception—so guests didn’t have to bounce between locations. Love that. The reception tables were set with white linens, soft blue napkins, and simple brown folding chairs that fit the rustic charm of the venue. With all the greenery and flowers around, it didn’t need any over-the-top décor—just simple, elegant touches that let the space (and the love!) shine through.
Also, shoutout to the seating chart arrangement. You know how some seating charts feel more like a hassle? Not this one. It was stylish and functional—a win-win.
Of course, a wedding isn’t complete without amazing food, and Millpond Gatherings totally delivered. Their executive chef, Pedro Avila, put together a custom menu using locally-sourced ingredients, and everything was just... wow. You could tell a lot of thought went into every dish, and it felt like an extension of the couple’s love for good food and good company.
The guests were still talking about the food as they hit the dance floor—which, let’s be real, is saying something!
The party didn’t stop once the ceremony was over. As the sun set and the lights twinkled under the venue’s chandeliers, everyone hit the dance floor. There’s just something special about dancing surrounded by warm wood beams and your favorite people. It felt intimate and cozy—like everyone was part of the couple’s inner circle, even if it was their first time meeting.
