K + J | branford house | groton, ct
For this wedding, the couple wanted a floral design that felt timeless and delicate. We used an array of white blooms: roses, freesia, hellebore, cosmos, and larkspur, mixed with touches of raspberry foliage and Queen Anne’s lace. The combination was not only visually stunning but also reflected the couple's understated elegance.

venue
The Branford House Mansion stands out with its architectural beauty, captivating couples as they approach its grand entrance.
If you’re considering a wedding at a historic venue like Branford House or anywhere along the beautiful Connecticut shoreline, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s truly a magical place for a wedding, filled with charm and elegance. Here’s to love, laughter, and the beautiful blooms that make every celebration a little brighter!
bouquets + bouts
Delicate posies filled with textural blooms—so sweet and intimate, just like the couple.
Filled with sweetly blooming freesia, local lisianthus, and accented with green hellebore for contrast, the bridal bouquet was a shining example of a fine-art bouquet. It was the perfect complement to her Sareh Nouri gown. The boutonnieres had white majolika spray roses, snippets from the freesia, and were tied with an ivory ribbon.
church ceremony
The ceremony took place in a simple white chapel, beautifully enhanced by oversized urns on white pedestals filled with all-white flowers.
This understated setup created a serene ambiance, perfect for the couple’s vows. The beauty of the chapel allowed the couple to focus on the moment, while the floral arrangements added a touch of elegance.
centerpieces
The centerpieces featured petite bud vases and glowing pillar candles, all draped over soft gauzy runners.
One of my favorite elements was the large mantlepiece design, which became a striking focal point in the reception area. It created an airy, romantic vibe that perfectly complemented the couple’s vision. Jen Strunk used a mix of round and rectangle tables to make the space more visually interesting under the beautiful sailcloth tent. The guests dined al fresco before returning to the interior of Branford House to dance over an iconic black and white dance floor.
