There’s something magical about being part of a wedding along the coast—the sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the joy that fills the air. When we were asked to bring our floral magic to the beautiful Guilford Yacht Club, we couldn’t have been more excited! This venue, with its stunning views and breezy coastal vibe, became the perfect canvas for us to create a floral wonderland, full of sunshine yellows and soft romantic touches that made the day feel truly unforgettable.

Tucked away on the Connecticut shoreline, this venue feels both serene and grand at the same time. The lawn stretches out towards the water, making it perfect for an outdoor ceremony with a coastal breeze. And inside, the reception space with its beautiful hardwood floors can host up to 150 guests, while outside, a tented reception can accommodate up to 300. It’s easy to see why so many couples fall in love with this spot. We couldn’t have picked a better venue for a day that was all about celebrating love in the most beautiful way.
bouquets + bouts:
Oh, the bouquets for this wedding—where do I even begin? We had the pleasure of crafting some of the dreamiest bouquets filled with garden roses, sweet pea, and fluffy peonies. They were lush, blousy, and overflowing with sunshiney tones that were perfect for the romantic vibe of the day. I loved how each bloom came together so effortlessly, adding a gentle touch of elegance and whimsy. And for the boutonnieres? A sweet little nod to the bouquet with spray roses and touches of greenery—they were simple yet made a statement.
ceremony
The ceremony arch was one of my favorite parts to design! We built a birch pole arch that was anchored by a gorgeous floral spray featuring yellow roses, coral charm peonies, and loads of local greenery that felt like it was growing right out of the ground. The flowers seemed to climb up the arch in the most natural way, as if they had just bloomed that morning for the couple. The backdrop of the Guilford Yacht Club's waterfront made the whole setup feel so special—almost like a fairytale. It was pure magic watching the couple exchange vows under that arch!
centerpieces
Moving into the reception, the vibe carried right over to the tables, where we created stunning centerpieces that felt like little sunbeams. We used yellow peonies, peach ranunculus, buttery garden roses, spray roses, and some delicate maidens hair fern to bring in that soft, sun-kissed feel. Every time I looked at the gold lita compotes overflowing with these gorgeous blooms, I couldn’t help but smile. We paired them with floating candles and loose greenery to add that extra bit of cozy romance—it was a warm, inviting glow that brought everyone together.
