Okay, imagine this: a night so magical, it feels like you've stepped right into the pages of a dark fantasy novel. Now picture that happening at the stunning Branford House Mansion, with the sea as your backdrop, and the sky stretching endlessly above you. That’s exactly what this "A Court of Thorns and Roses"-inspired wedding was all about—celestial vibes, a dash of fantasy, and romance so thick you could practically touch it. Oh, and did I mention the bride carried a sword instead of a bouquet?
Yes, it was that epic.

wedding fashion
Let’s talk fashion, because this wedding wasn’t just about florals and celestial vibes—it was also a lewk. The bride absolutely slayed in an all-black, flowing gown with a deep scooped neckline, a dramatic high slit, and a cape (yes, a cape!) covered in tiny stars. The corseted top had the most stunning leaf detailing, and to top it all off, she rocked a silver star-studded headband in her dark hair, which had these amazing purple streaks. It was like she stepped out of a fantasy novel and straight down the aisle. Oh, and did I mention she carried a sword instead of a bouquet? Total boss move.
The groom and his groomsmen kept it sleek and classic with all-black suits, ties, and vests, paired with shiny patent leather shoes. It was understated but bold, letting the bride’s show-stopping ensemble take center stage. Together, they were the epitome of celestial, gothic romance—seriously, they looked like they belonged in a dark fairy tale.
centerpieces
The tables were just as magical. Black linens and napkins set a moody, luxurious tone, but it was the centerpieces that really took it up a notch. Picture silver candelabras draped in glittering silver branches, surrounded by florals in the richest shades of the night—dark purple scabiosa, deep plum stock, Dutch blue hydrangeas, champagne roses, and plum anemones. Each arrangement was like a mini galaxy, bringing the night sky down to earth. These centerpieces were the perfect mix of moody, elegant, and fantastical.
mantlepiece installation
Let’s start with one of my favorite details—the mantlepiece installation. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by shimmering paper stars, glittering jewels, and candles that flicker just like the night sky? This mantle at Branford House was already towering and grand, but with those white and silver stars floating above and cascading strands of jewels glimmering in the candlelight, it felt like stepping into another realm. It set the mood perfectly for this celestial, star-crossed evening. If you want a mantlepiece that makes people stop in their tracks and say, "Wow," this is the way to do it.
Over by the smaller marble mantle (where the dancing magic happened!), we went for something truly larger-than-life. Spring flowering branches reached out, practically begging you to come closer, and decadent painted anthuriums mingled with deep purple anemones to create a whole mood. Imagine swirling around the dance floor with all those lush blooms framing the scene—romantic, right? It gave me all the enchanted forest vibes, but with a chic, celestial twist. Perfect for a fantasy-filled night where everyone gets to feel like they’ve stepped into their very own fairytale.
